Protect the Children
We need to protect the children. This is going to be short and sweet and a very different format than I usually employ. There is no introduction and there is no outro music. There is only truth.
It’s time for the nonpolitical mothers of the world to unite. Our children and grandchildren are dying. Correction. They are being murdered in their schools. Our children and grandchildren are being murdered in their schools. Their lives are threatened. What is the normal course of action when someone’s life is being threatened? Armed security guards.
While the political activists of the world argue over whether Second Amendment rights are more important than limiting the number of children killed by regulating whether that number is five or 25, the children under your care, mothers of the world, are being murdered.
What will it take for you mothers of the world to protect your children? Or will you continue to defer that responsibility to your politicians? How long will you wait? How many more children need to die? When will you stand up and say, “I want armed guards at the doors of my children’s school.” When will you stand up and say, “We will continue the debate after my children are safe.”
I’m so sick of this political circus as it relates to the safety and security of our children. Sure, you can have your fun making fun of the president, making fun of CNN, making fun of liberals, making fun of Republicans. But this is not the time to bring up political issues. There are young lives at stake. Wake up ladies. Please wake up ladies. You can spend your time online arguing whichever side of the political argument you are on and that will not protect your children. You argue ad nauseum about guns while your children are dying.
I think the political discussion over the proper use and regulation of firearms is a valid one. I think the argument over whether the TSA is intrusive or not is a valid one. But I doubt you would want their protection to disappear completely. There is no argument over whether airlines should have air marshals. After 9/11, many changes were put in place. When you are attacked, you protect yourself. So now we have the TSA. And every flight has an air marshal, or the very least you’re not sure whether there’s one on board or not. After Pres. John F. Kennedy was assassinated, did we talk about gun control and Second Amendment rights or did we simply start protecting our political officials. We protect them in a variety of ways. One of those ways is with armed guards. Banks have armed guards. It just makes sense that when you want to protect something you value, you bring in armed guards.
Can we stop talking about gun control and Second Amendment rights just long enough to get some security protection in place for our children? And nonpolitical mothers of the world, it’s going to be up to you. Because the politicians are going to continue talking and talking and talking and talking and doing absolutely nothing to protect your children. It’s up to you.
Will you demand the protection for your children that those political officials enjoy each and every day of their lives? Or will you continue to play their game while your children are slaughtered?
