Traditional Female Roles
Women made a mistake with traditional female roles way, way back in the late 1800’s when the women’s suffrage movement began. There was a small group of women who were dissatisfied with their lot in life and decided that it would all be better if they could only vote themselves some rights. In order to do that, the first thing they needed to do was to actually get the right to vote.
But rights are not given and taken away by men. Rights are endowed to us by our creator. Now some people call that God. Others call it the universe or nature. Others are agnostic and don’t really know if there is a god but they do know there is “something” out there that makes all of this grand creation happen and continue. Call it what you will, it is that larger than life aspect that determines our lot in life.
The idea that women needed the right to vote is false. Women already have all the rights that everyone else on the planet has. What they didn’t have was power. They didn’t have the power to change the laws decreed by the men who ran the government. So rather than starting their own form of government power to balance the men, they decided they wanted to play the same game that men play. They capitulated to their own sense of unworthiness as a woman believing that their power was in the creations of men. In retrospect, how wrong were they?
They were completely wrong. The women’s suffrage group gave away their feminine power. They jumped out of the frying pan into the fire. And today, they are burnt up. Falsely believing that the route to happiness was to join in the masculine fray, today women are unhappier in themselves than at any other time in history. Sure, they say they are unhappy with their “lives”. But in truth, they are simply still unhappy with themselves. They were always unhappy with themselves. They attempted to cure that unhappiness by joining with the force they believed was happier so they could “get” some happiness.
There was a time in history when women could have grown their identity as female. There was a time in history when women could have risen up and expanded and grown as women. There was a time when the power of femininity, the power of the “feminist” could have been born. But what was created was an abomination of femininity. What was created was an abomination of the power that makes a woman feminine. What was created was an abomination of the power that IS feminine.
It was a lost opportunity. There was a time when the women’s suffrage group was organizing in enough number so that they could have used that power to enhance the power of women. They could have used that power of numbers to organize into a type of feminist union. But they didn’t. They tried to empower themselves by playing the man game. Unbeknownst to them, their power card was, is, and ever shall be, their ability to bring life into the world. And they gave up that power in order to gain the right to have a say about how men ordered their lives via government. They gave up their God-given right to order their own lives and capitulated to the idea that the males of the species are all-powerful. And that if women just had a piece of that pie, they could have power too. Women of that time, just like today, never realized that their power resides in their femaleness. Their female bodies.
